    Help, P0700 transmission control system

    Hi, does somebody ever have this problem, I have a Dodge Charger SRT8 2006, and when I do some (start or burn), the transmissions disconnect like it switch to neutral or broke shaft, I can not put it back till I switch the power to off and restart the engine, and than every thing it OK, till I do some burn.
    The failure code said (P0700 transmission control system mil request).
    How to fix that?

    Sounds like you are hitting "limp mode"

    Set your rev limiter to 6700 via the predator, should help.

    That was limp mode, means you hit the rev limiter(probably in 1st gear) and to prevent you from turning your tranny into a pile of scrap, the computer simply locks you out untill you restart the engine. Try to take it easy, and this happens some times in autostick mode. I got that a few times from shifting too late in autostick mode..



    Flybyu ,when you set it to 6700, does it just bounce off the rev limiter without going into limp mode?

    The same thing happened to me two weeks ago.On the"back roads"....esp off...mashed it.. and bang ! I'm in neutral. Same code popped up. Never happened before.

    Wait. I had just finished talking to the X-wife. Redheads make you do crazy things

    Matters how quickly it got there, lol. If I bang it too quick, it will still go into limp mode. 1st gear can be nasty like that, the momentum is just too quick.

    Thank for your answer, yes I did set the rev limiter more than 6700 before that hapen.

    By the way, I went to dyno and the guy tool me that it seem that the torque converter still lock even at low rpm and drawn the motor, do you thing the rev limiter can do some thing in that?

    No, separate issue.

    Are you running the stock converter? A higher stall converter is a good investment for your setup.

    Yes it stock, how is the higher converter on the road? it is rought?
