Dude... Great idea... What about a regional poker run. where each region sets up the poker stops at their local shops. We get the shops to donate to the cause, and have a get together in the region at the end.

Paradog, give us your Charger for two weeks and we can more than likely P&P it. We just have to break in and look at it.

So, what's everyone's input? So far so good. We're the catalyst to get this started but it's you guys who are the real back bone and take all of the credit for these fundraisers.

What changes to the key points should we make or would you guys like any additional points added?

So are the raffles for regional areas or everyone? I might be able to donate something for regional distribution. I would think a national or single charity would have a greater impact. How about raffling a $100 gift to the region that raises the most money?Let me know how I can help Josh.

Thanks Paradog. We can set up regional giveaways. I was originally thinking of keeping the giveaways directed as a whole but we can put up some regional gifts, too. However you guys want it.

We definately need the help in putting this together and I know we can count on you, Paradog, to make sure this is done right. I guess everyone is comfortable with how we expect this to be set up and noone has any additional ideas. If so, post and let us know what your ideas are or at the very least whether this is something you guys want to support.

Around that time last year, the Midwestern crew had a joint Toys for Tots rally... and I'm sure there were some more around?

Well there are a great many charities. SO I guess one question would be whihc one(s) do we want to support? As I said before a regional effort would be great only if the money raised in those regions is good. I think establishing a goal of what we would like to raise for one charity and then using amounts over that for another charity, etc. How much do we hope to raise? $1000? $2000? $5000? $10,000?!!! MORE>!!!! By combining all monies then it will be easier to track the donations, rather than trying to tell from which region a donation belongs.

I would be willing to contact AUtogeek.net and see if they would like to participate. They are not a vendor on the forums, so I don't want to step on any toes.

I have a local wine distributor that might be interested in a donation for a good cause.

Is it possible to set up a link off the HHP site just for this fund raising? THis way people outside the forums can be directed to a webpage link rather than to the forums (for some ppl, its a turn off).

Is this restricted to forum members? Which forums?

I guess the other question is what prizes are available? Does the amount raised have any bearing on this? Do we want other forum vendors involved?

I don't think the amount raised has any bearing on the final prize. I think it's the reverse, though, that the final price has a bearing on the amount raised.

I encourage all of the supporting venders to get involved. We have great relationships with most of our competitors and this is a charity fundraiser, put on by the forum members for the charities. Any business that would like to donate anything for a little exposure is more than welcome to contribute. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated by everyone, including the recipients of the donations. If non-supporting venders get involved, they will get their name on the list, too, just like us site-supporters.

Set the goals where everyone thinks they should be. We can start out low and say $6000.00, and spread them out across 6 regions of the US. Then reset the goals as needed.

We can set up whatever sites are needed, not a problem. Just consider that us putting it up on our site may also run into issues. If it's agreed upon, we can put it up on our website but also get it in place so other venders can also.

I would say not to restrict this to just forum members so as to not exclude anyone. As far as the situation goes between the other few LX based forums, we do get into a pickle on the naming of things and this should be open to all of the LX forums, including the SRT8 sites, too. If you guys want to open it up to larger Dodge forums, that's on you guys if you choose to. I think, with the giveaways we can put together, these are going to be something everyone would very much want.

Maybe we should just make this as simple as possible... gift certificates as prizes... start selling raffle tickets...if its a success we can make it more involved later....oh yea ask an admin to make this a sticky!
