Help, How to turn passrnger airbag off

Just like the title says, my wife is pregnant and in our f-150 there is a way to turn the airbag off manually. I know that the airbag turns off by itself if there isn't enough weight. But is there a way to do it manully, for safety of my wife during this period.

    Back Seat....

    No other way.

you can disconnect the sensor under the seat, but it will disable all the airbags in the car and throw a bunch of codes.

...maybe I'm missing something, but what good would that do? The bag is for the head and torso, not the stomach region. As long as she wears a seat belt, the bag shouldn't hurt her (or the baby)... how far along is she? I'm assuming close to term?

Airbag defeat is only for kids and v short adults. As far as I remember, it is still safer to go with belts/bags for pregnant women.

You can get an airbag deactivation kit, its part of a TSB IIRC. Probably safer with it on IMO.....

yeah there is a black box under the passenger seat on the left side (if you are sitting in the seat)

it is on the floor tucked partly under the carpet, that is the module that sends the signals to the canbus from the weight sensors.
