My brothers 300 C is losing coolant about 1/2 gallon every two weeks. You can smell it burning on the engine but I cant find a leak anywhere. I've searched the whole engine and cant find residue or signs of a leak.
Anybody???

Check the radiator cap on the expansion tank. I had the same problem , and replaced the cap. I haven't had a problem since.

Yeah, check the cap, check the clamp on the bottom of the radiator as well, inspect the hose for a small cut, etc...
Check the thermostat bolts as well, make sure they are tight, etc...
If it was in the oil...the car would have gone boom already, 1/2 gallon a week in the oil would be a slushy in the first 3 oz.

I had the saem issue with my V6. And mine was the water pump i had to replace. Check the side of the block about half way down. There is a shelf and it would pool up there until i drove it and it would blow off and would be noticable like there was a leak. Check about half the way down, about 4 fingers back from the front of the motor. Try that see if it works
Checked. I checked all the hoses, the block, the intake. Not sure how to find it?

If There Are No Leaks It Is Being Sucked Into The Engine Probably By A Blown Head Gasket Or Leaking Externally And Being Evaporated, Thats What You Smell
Take it to the dealer, its under warranty. Why are you even messing with it, take it in and let them take care of it.
Pressure test.... I had a leaking lower radiator hose ... annoying as heck and never could find it myself ... dealer fixed for no charge ...

Please change the cap--- Stant 18 lbs. Mine smelled like a really bad leak , but replacing the cap fixed the problem. Caps are cheap.

Even if the cap leaked pressure there would be no loss of coolant as is would go into the overflow portion of the tank and get drawn back into the other side of the tank as the engine cools off. His car has a lot of milage and coolant loss without a visable leak is a bad head gasket and the coolant is being drawn into the cylinders and being evaporated out the exhaust. Smell is some coolant leaking out side of the head gasket on to the side of the motor and evaporating from the heat of the exhaust manifold. This is the most usual case when anti freeze leaks cant be found around any hoses
