They kinda pop inside out sometimes when you take the cap off... pop the lip back into the little clips under the cap and try again?

tried everything...the dang the just GREW!! It's overall diameter is too big to fit into the cap, no matter how hard I try.

what it did to the cap seal, it will do to all rubber parts in your entire brake system. how long has it been in there?

as much as i hate to be the bearer of bad news, this could get quite expensive.

    from FSM:

    BRAKE FLUID CONTAMINATION

Indications of fluid contamination are swollen or deteriorated rubber parts.
Swollen rubber parts indicate the presence of petroleum in the brake fluid.
To test for contamination, put a small amount of drained brake fluid in clear glass jar. If fluid separates into layers, there is mineral oil or other fluid contamination of the brake fluid.
If brake fluid is contaminated, drain and thoroughly flush system. Replace master cylinder, proportioning valve, caliper seals, wheel cylinder seals, Antilock Brake hydraulic unit and all hydraulic fluid hoses.
