Grr daytona down 300 miles from home..

So im off taking a trip and get about 300 miles in when the worst possible thing happens...car starts shuddering hesitating and i think hmmm wonder what the codes gonna be, yay a stomach dropping P0304 code in the middle of nowhere lousiana.

Pulled to the side and shut it down and do a little troubleshooting. Hear a not supposed to be there tick/knock coming from the passenger side. Not to loud like some i've heard but still it's there..my stomach is on down around my ankles now.

Hobbled it up the shoulder to a gas station and after spending 4 hrs trying to get a flatbed (to frustrating of an ordeal to speak of here) i finally get a truck to get my precious. So now i am sitting at a holiday inn with a splitting headache.

    Symptoms of car:

    P0304, p0300
    Stalling
    Rough idle
    Hesitation
    Some sorta ticking/clicking noise

Dodge dealer is a few miles up the road so going to take it by tommorrow and hold my breath that it isnt to bad. I'm no expert by any means but broken push rod, loose rocker? Any other thoughts?

300 and 304 go hand in hand..

Sounds like you had a misfire in Cylinder 4.. I'd pull the plugs and see if they are okay.. I had something similar happen and found that both the plugs in that cylinder were pooched. Hopefully it's not a ring land that broke off or something nasty..

I am no expert by any means.. but it likely sounds worse than it is..

    Good luck...

Thanks didn't know that you could still use em. Had the dealer check both, but 3-5 day wait on em.

FRI is coming through for me though and overnighting me some rods
