    Good thing there were no cops around.

    No! I do not know whose car this is......

    Watch the speedo climb. I heard that he was on a slight incline otherwise it would have been faster. "He" said that he would have kept on going but traffic was coming up.

    heh, on my first test drive I accelerated FROM 5mph to 80mph after a right turn onto a four-lane street... went under an overpass and who was coming the other way? Dearborn police. lucky for me he either didn't see me or didn't care. :D :twisted:

    Magnum Freak;

    Very nice sound. The Hemi sounds like its just starting to breath when the computer shuts it down. I can only imagine how much trouble I will get INTO if we ever figure out how to defeat the speed limiter. I haven't had mine that fast, yet. I am still waiting for the right oppurtunity.

    I don't think "that guy" hit the speed limiter at 118, did he? "Someone I know" owns an RT that hits 127 before the throttle backs off.

    Has anyone changed their tires and been to a dealer to disable that danged limiter?

    Oh, yea, I remeber seeing one of those speedos in person just over 120 and lots of pedal left, the guy kinda backed down after realizing the speed LIMIT is actually 65!!
    That RT got 120+ really quickly FROM about 50mph. Still trying to remeber who that was!

    I checked with "him" and the computer did not shut it down. His exit was coming up and there was a bunch of traffic. He has tested the speed limiter and it does stop the car FROM accelerating but it does not shut it down. Kicks in right at 128.

    yup 128 due to H rated tires. 128 mph is the max safe speed for the tires.

    i read in a previous post that you can change the tire settings in the computer... so hypothetically... if you change the computer and tell it the car has y rated tires, would the computer let you go over the 128 limit, even if you have the conti's?

    the computer would let ya but the dealership will only change it per your tire's rating.
