Going to Denver area to get some LED Tails

I'm going to visit den17296 to pick up the LED tails that he is selling. A nice sunday drive, other than being in the 30's. Guess they will have to wait until next saturday to be installed. The Magnum is going into the shop monday to get the driver side body work done from the 2 accidents. I will be taking some pics along the way of the mountain area. Then when I get the Mag back, I will be doing a install thread with pics. Heck since I got my Xmas gift early, a 1GB memory disk for the camera, I will be able to do some actual vid of it. My shoulder should be healed enough to be able to do the work.

Wish I knew about this sooner. We could have hooked up. I've seen his taillights and they are awesome. I'm sure you're gonna love them.

OK here we go, the drive there was pretty much uneventful. On the way back the winds decided to kick up and had to drive back with the wheel turned to the left the whole time.

I met den17296(Art) at his house for the deal. Art is a terrific guy, offered to help me install them. We both drew bloody knuckles so I know that this will be a good install haha.

    Install: Remove the taillight
Pop the 2 black plastic rivets acessible when the lift gate is opened and then unscrew the black wingnut, without dropping it.

Take the bulbs out of the original housing and then take out the brake light bulb.

The LED light has a plug that goes where the brakelight bulb was

    Then reinstall the lights
Then sit back and admire haha

I mentioned to Art that I tried to replace the rear turn signals with silverstars but I had gotten the wrong ones.
To show what a great guy he is, he gave me his old ones. Here is a shot with the parking lights and timed with the hazards on.

Here is the night shot, with just the parklights on. Kinda hard to hit the brakes and take a pic when flying solo haha.

Again I want to thank Art (den17296) for his help installing, esp with my shoulder healing and the gift of the turn signals. Def beans for you.

This is one of the easiest mods to do. 10 min to swap, unless you drop the wingnut haha. Just remember to test the lights first before re-installing the lights.
