    General Opinion About Your LX

I see so many posts each day and it seems like every single member here has modified their vehicle... I just want to get a general idea how many people are perfectly happy with their stock lx and don't plan on making any changes. I know i'm happy with the package i got and don't see any work being done in the near future (i don't know if that would be true if i wasn't 18, had a job and a solid salary with some change to spare). (i'm trying to do a poll, i hope this works)

I'm perfectly happy with the vehicle, but have done 3 "mods" so far. Removed the crossbars on the luggage rack, much easier to clean. Installed the silverstars in the turn signals, looks cool. Just installed the Jet Stage 1 chip, hoping for more MPG and some performance gain. Installing Aircharger tonight, again MPG. When a catback comes out for the SXT I'll likely do that for sound, and MPG. I got the 4 speaker stereo, so I'll upgrade that. Haven't made up my mind on wheels yet.

    Hello Shnitzelman2001,

My name is Brian Carotenuto, and I have a base 300 sedan. My car is Cool Vanilla with the Med/Dk Slate Grey color cloth interior. The only thing that I changed out on the car was the single disc AM/FM radio for the 6 disc AM/FM/cassette radio. I also upgraded to the premium floor mats. Mechanically the car will remain stock, as delivered, no performance chips, etc. I do not want to take a chance and blow the warranty out on a brand new car because I decided to make major modifications to it. (Yes, Chrysler can void warranties if they see something that wasn't factory or dealer installed-example: Lambo doors, oversized wheels, believe it or not even having the grille swapped out for something that isn't stock may or may not be covered)

I am about to mark the fifth month of ownership of my 300, and I am very pleased with it so far. As of this writing, I have almost 3500 miles on the odometer. I have not had any major issues with it. The only issue that I had was concerning the IP Gauge Cluster Inaccuracy issue which involved flashing new software to recalibrate the IP gauges.

    Sincerely yours,

    Brian T. Carotenuto

Subtle mods are the key here. Yeah, I replaced the exhaust, but I still have the stock system under a tarp on the side of my house. Sure, I will swap out the intake for a Volant I have, but I'll keep the stock box just in case I need it. I believe the key is to keep as many of the stock components as possible. Once I get my 20's I'm gonna have three sets of factory tire assemblies to store, but that's the price of progress.

If I have the car long enough, and it becomes collectible, I'll be able to get it back to stock pretty easily. However, the collectibility of these cars is, I believe, questionable. That's for another thread.

    Already done:
    • BFG Tires
    • Borla 4 muffler exhaust
    • JetChip
    Coming soon:
    • Most powerful intake per our upcoming test
    • Headers (probably)
    Future:
    • 20" wheels (looking for staggered offset that I can fall in love with)
    • Paint some misc parts
    • R/T badges
    • Speaker/amp upgrade
    • Computer programmer
    • Lower rear gear
    • Front fascia upgrade
(Waiting patiently for the 2011/12 300C SRT 8)

i'm not big into mods but i did two tiny ones on my 300c:
    1. K&N air filter (not sure why - read about it here and it was relatively cheap)
    2. leather center arm rest (everyday I thank myself for this)

Except for a couple of sound system upgrades, every vehicle I've owned has remained stock, but that will change soon after the Mag arrives:
    1. Mopar/Borla or Borla 112
    2. Eibach Pro-Kit

    Later on:
    3. A good set of tires, and perhaps SRT wheels
    4. Bass tube or similar
    5. Upgrade all stock speakers, if I tire of them

i just got my RT on Saturday, and already have done the Eibach ProKit, and the Magnaflow Catback system...

Future mods for me will include some 20" wheels, an intake system once i see some actual dyno results, and light tint of the front windows...

Pipe dream mods for this car would be a complete SRT-8 seat swap, and the SRT-8 braking system as well... preferably just the calipers so i can still run the 18"s in the winter months, as i don't think the SRT-8's discs would fit behind the 18's...
