    Fumoto Oil Drain Valve

Anyone using the Fumoto oil drain valve. My drain plug is all torn up and I was thinking of getting one of these.

    Thoughts or comments.

why is your drain plug torn up? torque spec for drain plug is 20 ft/lbs. that's not anywhere near enough to ever damage the head or threads.
Izzy pics money talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"

I feel shame admitting this Chicken but I needed an oil change in a hurry so I went to Jiffy Lube and they rounded over the head. I thought I was going to have to use a pipe wrench to get it off. Again I feel shame

I love mine. I'm changing my oil again tonight. The last oil change was my cleanest one ever. I only had to clean the dust off my hands....got no oil on me what so ever. (You should have seen me on my first oil change I ever did on this old Honda that liked to blow a pint out all around the oil pain between changes.)
Did the radiator cap mod: SRT8 is here....

Go for it! I'm going to get one for mine. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm worried about the dealer screwing mine up but they'd be replacing it. I may do my own oil one day and it would make it easier.

You need an F-106N valve, if you want the one with the nipple. Or the F-106 (no nipple). You can get the valve from: http://www.fumotovalve.com/

I made the same mistake of using a quick lube place. They must have used a breaker bar to tighten the drain plug on my Pacifica and also rounded it off nicely. I had to use vise grips on the plug and had to use a wrench to tighten the vice grips!

I had purchased a Fumoto Valve for it, but hadn't installed it. Thanks goodness I had it. I haven't used it for draining yet, but it went on fine.

I have another one for my Road Runner, but since my Dodge dealership was sold and I can't get my free oil changes, I might put it on my Magnum.

I hate to say it, but I nearly could not get my drain plug out on wednesday. It appears that the last time I had my oil changed they used MUCH more than 20 lbs..

Can't exactly take her back for my free oilchanges anymore anyhow.. unless eastway will do it for me and not tattle to DCX about the latest mod.

I've had one in my C since about 1500mi. I've put them on the last 3 cars that I've owned, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I haven't noticed any issues with the fumoto on my C, and it's now got 44500mi on it.
