Forget the price of gas I dont know if I can keep up with the parts.

So my trunk has a piece of carpeting that goes on the back wall where the latch is. Its held in place with 4 plastic screws and some how all for were missing. So I went to the dealer and ordered four new ones. Paid $18.53 for all four.... I put one in to make sure it fits but here is what 18 bucks gets you these days.

Chrysler wont need to sell cars if they can keep charging 18 dollars for 2 dollar parts.....

Here in Nova Scotia we dont have pep boys. My choices for parts are dealer, Canadian tire, Walmart, or Napa. I had bad luck ordering lugnuts online and didnt want to risk buying the wrong part again.

APPARENTLY THEY ARE NOT MAKING MONEY ON THE CARS THEY SELL, SO THEY MAKE IT UP IN PARTS...

Nice isn't it. I recently swapped to the SRT front end. After all the misc costs just to put that together, comes the day to install all the crap. So I open the chrome strips for the front fascia cover and damn-it........no clips. Of course this is after paying like $160 for both of them. So I head on over to my local Dodge ram-it-up-yourass dealership and tell the dude hey man I need 8 of these clips please.

Dude goes noooooooooooooo problem.....................................that'l l be fifty bucks sir.

It was one of the few times I actually said very loudly exactly what I was thinking.

    No autozones here either :(

But it does show that the parts should only be 4 bucks for 15. They came in a plastic bag with the invoice stapled to is so you know they were build from a big bin.

So either they are making a huge profit on the sale to me or they reallly suck at ordering parts and someone else is making a killing with them. Either way I dont think it looks good on them at all.
