Finally left the moonroof open...in the RAIN

...but nothing inside got wet?! Big storm flew by earlier this afternoon and I took a drive after it settled down. I noticed a rustling noise and peaked above. I always make sure it's closed...but the friggin thing was partially open.(titled rear open). I started to freak out...thinking about water damage on the leather...but nothing is wet?! Question - where did all that water go??? Should I be worried? And it took me a few button pushes to close the roof, which was odd.

It's possible due to wind and the angle that you parked that you didn't really get anything in there. I would check the headliner to make sure it isn't damp. Other than that I don't really know where else the water could go. I don't think it has a drain on a lip inside there.

I have left my "vent" opened like that before in the rain without any issues. Not that is a good idea by any means, but I have also done it and have had no issues yet. It is pretty much just the right angle to have the water run away.

There's a trough/gutter around the sunroof with a drain tube down each side of the car (through the a-pillar and down to the bottom of the frame). That would have caught anything rolling off of the wet roof. The wind must have saved you from direct wettage.

    SCHWEET!

Dear Eight Pound, Six Ounce, Newborn Baby Jesus, don’t even know a word yet, just a little infant, so cuddly, but still omnipotent. I’d just like to thank you for saving my butt.

You'd think they would've installed some sort rain sensor to roll everything up incase you get plastered and forget....
