Can someone please tell me what "LX" stands for? Don't everybody jump in at once! (I guess I wasn't paying attention during orientation.)

Internal code for our platform.
The previous 300/intrepid/concords/LHS were designated as LH platforms.
butweet, LX is the bodystyle/frame that our cars are based off of. Like the old coronets, superbees, GTX were B-Body, Dart was an A-Body, Camaro is an F-Body (i think on that one), etc....
We just happen to have a Knowledge Base article on this very question:
What does LX mean?

Procrastination is the key to flexibility.
To my understanding:
Just about the time the Daimler side bought (into) Chrysler, work was beginning on laying out the next generation full-sized car platform, a successor to the LH. Two different layouts were to be developed, a front-drive (LJ) and rear-drive (LX). The financial troubles (and management changeover) of '01-'03 killed off development of the LJ.
