    Question Fault code P0503.

I didn't get a CEL so it took a week for me to discover that I had a P0503 fault code. I checked on it and it's speed sensor erratic.

I believe this happened when I drove it fast and the cruise control stopped working even at "normal" speeds. I shut it off and started it again and then cruise control worked fine.

Could I pop a P0503 from going too fast? I used the Predator to raise my speed limiter to the max (190) so I was under the impression that I wouldn't get any codes unless I went over 190 which I didn't.

No tire spinning unless the P0503 is more recent.

check your hub nuts? if you get an irrational wheel speed sensor range (2000km/h) from the tone ring moving inboard. just saying ive seen that before.

I've not checked them. They are supposed to be crimped so they don't move. I was on the edge of that recall. Mine was built just before the issue came up at the factory. Good thought that. Maybe that's it.

Bringing this up from the grave as I just popped this CEL also.... I'm also noticing a vibration at higher speeds... Could that be the same issue?

In the end I believe it was from going beyond a certain speed. Apparently raising the speed limiter with the Predator does not affect every module that senses speed or revolutions. So one module freaks out when you go too fast. Not a big deal. It's never happened again to me. The vibration you are feeling may just be a wheel balance issue.
