    Question EVIC Light Settings

In the extended mode of the EVIC, some refer as maintenance mode, there are settings to change the light sensitivity. Has anyone decoded these? How do they affect the auto headlights?

It relates to the threshold of when the auto headlights will come on.
If I remember though, it's inverse of what you would think. The lower the number the more ambient light. If you push the right arrow (change discs/presets in radio mode) it will raise this number to a certain limit before it then resets to a low number for you to repeat this process again.
I played with this a while before I was able to get the lights on when I wanted.

Radar does not look at the color of the vehicle, I know I operated police Radar for a few years. Niether do the cops. I have had, including this car, 4 red vehicles and have had no more tickets in them than I did in other colors that I had. Which BTW is zero. It's not whatcha drive it's the WAY you drive that attracts the attention.

I used to hear that insurance companies charged more for red vehicles than other colors. This isn't true either. If mine did, I would find a new insurance company.

That's exactly correct. I was just playing with this the other day.
