About LinkBacksCrap! Using UConnect yesterday, the thing mis-interpreted my commands and turned the voice activation to spanish.
Interesting thing too, the EVIC language also went to spanish. I managed to reset the EVIC to english using the menu system on the steering wheel (assuming that the UConnect would revert as well). No dice.
EVIC still fixed. UConnect doesn't understand me! (No hables espanol!)
Guess I'll have to pull out the old owners manual, or take it to my spanish speaking neighbor.

Push the button, let it speak and when it's ready to take a command, say "English" at which point it will ask you in both Spanish and English if you want to switch languages, at which point you can say "Yes". Or "Si" if you prefer....
Or if you have a newer Uconnect module, "Oui".

HeeHee that happened to me when I said (guessing w/o reading the manual) 'set up phone'. It thought I said Espanol. I just kept hitting the button and saying English and it took a while but it reverted back. Then later I needed my cell phone software updated a my car started making crank calls to the last number dialed. Now it is working correctly and I love it.

I think the old version wipes your phone book entries when you change languages, as well... I had fun with the newer one, seeing how many ways I could talk to it. Can't remember how to say Spanish in French, or French in Spanish, though... But it sure was fine with Yes, Si or Oui, as an answer to all three language requests.

I did this to my brother once as an April fools joke. Ask your "friend" for their cell phone, and switch the language to something other than English. Frustrating at first, but not lethal. I would recommend you remember the steps you took to switch it, so you can help switch it back.
