Ok so I have my 300MAG for sale... I am getting this crazy idea if and when I sell my car, I find a new 07 SRT8 in Canada. Someone here told me that I can't get that car serviced at any shops. Is that just total BS?
thanks

Sup HawaiiHemi!
d00d! I totally remember your custom ride. You put a lot of TLC into that thing. Hope she finds a worthy home if you sell her.
Now why would you want to purchase an 07 SRT8 Mag from Canada? Exchange rate?? You'd probably get a smoking deal on a brand new 06 or 07 collecting dust on someone's lot in one of the other 50 states. So why? why exactly?![]()
I learned long ago, never listen to everyone, but try to find out the facts yourself. A quick call to one of your local dealers should answer the question for you.
dude, you need to put better pictures of your car in your ebay ad.... and lower your starting price.. you'll never get any activity!
Think a little ,if i ,as a canadian, was on vacation and my car broke would the warrenty be void? I don't think so.Could they refuse to service it no.
Disceression is the best deal when getting a car serviced when it didn't come from "your" dealer.
Some of the paper work may be difficult if it is "brand New" in order to get it imported.
It is best to register it in canada and "drive it " home then go with all the paperwork to US customs and declair the car.
Check with customs first before starting a process that could cost time and money!
Exchange rate is of no advantage now!
But if you find one on the east coast i'll be HAPPY to deliver it for you.
Keep it till you get here, whatever but most of them have bald tires!!!!!
for more information on importing a car into the US check out this link.

If by service you mean repair/maintain your car. I dont see any problem.
If you mean will they do warrenty work on a Canadian car at a US dealership then Im not sure on that. I dont think it would be a problem but you should check first.
I'm not sure of the specifics but I think Chrysler (may have been Ford) led the way on this issue by not accepting warranty issues by individuals doing the import/export trick. Owners moving is a totally different issue.
Kevin, I'll check in at work with the warranty guy tomorrow.
lol thanks everyone.
just came back from a dealership down by Nimitz. I won't mention their name cause they are effin stupid! 07 Charger Srt8 Silver with the front fascia had some cute paint bubbles and on Option I for 45K plus tax title and liscense. HAHAHA EFF THEM! I am lookin for an 06 that was taken care of. Not in a rush to buy cause I gotta sell what I have now.
There is an American Dealer in Toronto selling high end cars. Savings depend on price of car however, none come with warranty. Manufacturer voids warranty on cross border sale. This exact topic was on the news the other night. Apparently the Top Banana is a high end vehicle available at this dealer.
RIP Dave. Missed, but, not forgotten.
I think used can be imported with less hastle than new. Its more of a dealer protection, manifacture subsidy thing but once they are used .
There is a dealer here that buys and sells to us dealers.
