Dodge to use Challenger in Nationwide Series 2010!

As just noted by Autoblog, Dodge and Ford are scheduled to submit final designs of the Mustang and Challenger for the nationwide series on June 26th! If you haven't seen it before, the car should be similar to the one below. While the butt and chin will be redesigned, the "greenhouse" or roof of the car will retain it's regular safety cage. GM has no plans for a Camaro and well...no one cares about Toyota.

cool, but body-in-white cars would be more exciting. IMHO, nascar has gotten too far away from the "stock car" series it began as.

Hmm, it hasn't been a "stock car" series since before you were born.

Id love to see it but that nose isnt going to cut air on the larger tracks.
The biggest reason why GM wont do the Camero is the fact that they pulled ALL factory support form the nationwide and truck series. That anounced that last week.

dude they pulled all factory support from everything EXCEPT sprint cup. The Corvette team just had there last factory backed race at LeMans.

Yes we know it hasn't been stock since the 50's, the motors at least, the part everyone is griping about the cars not using the stock body and chassis' they come with from the factory. Most people want to see a Trans-Am style cars using a 50/50 of road course and circle tracks. This would be great if they could implement that, they could race in Jersey and they could do the July race at Daytona as the road course.

As the cars have moved farther from "stock" the rate of driver death and serious injury has gone down.

If you want some more understanding of why they are not really "stock", you could read up on how MattRobertson has modified his car to run 20 minute road course sessions.

I understand your point. Unfortunately, no one will buy tickets to watch "pure stock" cars race.

    Actually I would ..

Reason I don't give two s....s about Nascar etc is that they aren't Stock or at least a Modified Stock..

But maybe that's just me and that I enjoy seeing builtup street machines battle it out and not some carbon copy tube frames etc..
