DIY LED Trunk Wing

Has anyone tried your own DIY trunk LED wing? $200 is a little steap for me right now. Figure I could DIY for about $60. Started my project today but trying to decide if I should go with blue LEDs like the rest of the car or play it safe and go with red. Cut out my plexiglass wing today turned out nice...that's after I cracked two others drilling the two mounting holes in them.

Also trying to decide where I should power them from, i.e; break lights or regular tail lights.

Since you have blue in your grill I would stay with that color. Blue on Silver Steel looks great IMO.

You could hook it up either way. What would be cool though is go red and tie it into the brake lights and when you brake it would light up like a third brake light. That also might be a good defence in a situation with the law.
