This car was out at Orlando Speedworld Dragway last night. Quite disappointing..this run was a 15.44, even though i stopped the tape a bit soon. i was hoping to see at least a 14 come out of it, this track is bad, but not THAT bad.

that does seem slower then usual....most people here have been getting in the 14's with stock RT's
Thanks threefortyduster..... I think??? As you were hoping for at least a 14 second quarter, i was hoping i would see a video. At least finish.

i thought i had it, but it looks like when i reviewed it, i stopped it too soon and i taped a different run over the end...it was a 10 second Gen 1 Dakota...a little more important to me.Originally Posted by mikespy

I looks like he hit the brakes half way down. The car looks sluggish off the line like the ESP was holding him back. I had a mid 15s run where the tires spun and ESP backed off on the throttle and ruined the run. That has happened once to me with ESP ON and one with it OFF (proving it's not completely off). Both times I did not do a good burnout or it was the first run or I forgot to lower the air pressure below 30psi FROM 34.

I agree with BBH, not a good launch at all. It really looks like ESP was really hindering the launch (was it turned off?) and the brake lights did come on midway down.
If he did that burnout the ESP had to be off. Unless he turned it back on (for whatever reason). But no matter what that was a sad, sad launch.
Could have been a few things. Like reaction time, whether the guy had the gas nailed before he let go of the brake and of course the fact that it looked like he let off.
See my signature for my times a week ago in Phoenix. I could get a lot better at reaction time and cut almost 1/2 second.

reaction time doesn't change your 1/4 time. reaction time is completely independent of ET. Reaction is the time it takes to go FROM the stage beam to the starting line (about 8") where ET is starting line to finish line. he didnt deep stage, which would have taken time out of it, and he had ESP off. he didnt hit the brakes though, cuz the whole run was off track, and every one of his runs was about the sameOriginally Posted by bobf

MY clock always started on the green light
ok...i got an UPDATE FROM a friend who watched his last run....his first 3 were all 15.2-15.4s, but apparently his last run of the night (after i left) was a 14.67, i dont know the trap speed, so i guess the track either A) got better or B) he figured out the launch.
and 02Fast, the clock starts after you cross the start line, which is when the green (or red) light comes on.
