That's all well and good, but it ignores a huge piece of data:

The scheduling for a given month is done on a single day. The next such day, when December will be scheduled, is November 10th.

That means, if you're waiting to go D, this magical date is when it happens.

That doesn't mean things don't change the rest of the month; once an ORDER hits D1, its status is being frequently changed. But the big deal for most of us is when will we go D?

If I recall correctly, you found out around this time in October that you were finally D, finally got your vin, and finally found out you'd be built in November?

This is FROM my dealer and confirmed with a couple other sources.

Right...you managed to make that scheduling date. I ordered 8/13 and am still in BX.

Things do change. But as I've said, for the large percentage of the people waiting, we're still in BX. You were in D for months, which is definitely a rare thing, if you ask your dealer. The transition FROM BX to D is what I'm talking about. Once your are D, things generally happen quickly and at an unpredictable pace.

My experiences did not lead me to believe that cars are only scheduled to be built on one day of the month (or even one general time of the month) and it's very clear that their systems are updated much more frequently than once a week.

Your experience is different that most on this board. Nearly everybody else who ordered, starting just a few days after you, is still pre-D. The big question for us is when we'll go D. Because, the way things are going now, when you go D, you have your car within 6 weeks. They keep you in BX until then, rather than keep you in D. I believe the volume of 300s changed their start date for the Magnum AWD, which is why you were in D a month earlier than you should have been.

    :(

No need to delete, I think the discussion is very helpful for people who are waiting.

After all, we're all treated like mushrooms on this: Fed nothing but cow ****, and kept in the dark.

It's all just a grass-roots effort to try to figure out when the hell we're getting our cars...and in the end, who knows, I could very well be wrong.

Sorry if it seemed like I was contradicting you, because the other parts, referring to how often DC's ORDER system status gets updated, I'm sure you're right about that.
