    De-Chrome in progress!!

Alright... per my earlier thread i was thinking about removing the chrome trim from around the windows! Well as with most things the more i think about them the more i want to do it.

So, here are the results of the driver side!

    Before!

I liked this look, but just HAD to see what it looked like all black!

    Here we are!

Here the trim is being untaped. I put the painters tape on it over a year ago so dirty and **** would get all over it in storage...

I've broken several of these clips and i stumbled across the Perfect tool and technique to undoing these bad boys. Use a 4mm socket attached to a hand wrench. The 4mm fits snug inside the push pin when pushed.

Apply a bit of pressure to the center of the push pin until you hear a snap sound. And you can let go of the screwdriver and it will stay!

Now, all you have to do is pull the push pin out via the screwdriver and pop off the push pin!

NOW whoever said this **** is taped all the way around is lying, lol. I pulled on one end to try to pull it off and TRY to save it in hopes of selling, ha.... That went over like a turd in a punch bowl. Found out it's taped for about 6 inches on each side, but the entire middle has a lip and is tucked up into the window seal! NOTE, this **** will cut the **** out of you... ask me how i know!

    Front Before!

    Front after!

    Front Chrome, Rear Painted!

    ALL DONE!

    Whatcha think guys!?!?!

They are push clipped on from the back side of the bumper. You need to remove the bumper to get to them. If you try to pry them out from the front, youll trash them and possibly the bumper.
