    Danger of pulling fuse 17?

I have been reading another post that many people recommend pulling fse 17. This should eliminate all traction control and antilock braking. Will removing fuse 17 lead to any problems, will the system recognize it and send codes? Thanks for your support, you are all awesome.

Only on the 05's. If you have a 06 or 07, it will through the car into limp mode. And yes, you'll get a crap load of warning lights. There are other methods of eliminating ESP. Do a search, and look in the knowledge base. There is a very cheap way of doing it and not losing your antilock brakes.
From wild to extra wild we got you covered with crap ya never knew you needed.

The first 6.1 transformation and it all went down hill from there.

Cam is 100% correct (as usual).

If you want to see the dangers of pulling fuse 17, read THIS post made by grinner. He is a true LX pro and knows what he's doing... and even he will tell you that pulling it can be a very serious mistake.

Yea other than ending up side down in a ditch nothing wrong with it.

At the track is one thing, on the road there is a reason these cars have ESP/Traction controls, the ass end will come around real quick on you with the power we have, Hal keeps us from earning a Darwin Award.

Oh, you got a SRT. You should be able to turn off ESP all the way. Hold the button down longer.

Yeah, hold the button for 6-8 seconds. You will get a warning in your evic that the esp is dissabled. Good Luck!!

Yup, you'll have plenty of freedom from ESP and still have your ABS active.

All, I can say is I love the way the car drives without it but it just aint safe to do it as a daily driver. Do a couple of 360s on the highway in rush hour traffic, look death in the eye (again) and come out untouched and it'll make ya pop that sucker right back in there.
I have since gotten the Superchips Flashpaq and can honestly say I have had no reason to remove it since loading the program. When I turn it off at the dash now it's off a good 90%. I can feel every little hickup and growl in this car and CAN feel it it still engage juuuust a little bit but I have gotten really use to it and like it this way. I wam pushing a little over 350 tourque now so that helps too but being able to drift at the push of a button then cruise home safely with a quick push of the same button is convenient and I'm diggin no dash lights these days.
One part of me wishes I had tape rollin when I did the 360s on the highway that day. The other part of me knows if I were rollin tape I'd a been goin alot faster and there would have been no video to share afterall. I literally wound up riiight in front of the beginning of a guard rail that split the highway. Just wouldnt have been pretty. Moreover, I could have easily hurt an innocent family cruising next to me and I thank my lucky stars that I didn't.
The basic rule of thumb with fuse 17 is leaving it in while goin some place. Take it out only at the track.

F-RT yes that will work on an RT but the guy has an SRT and all his has to do is press and hold for about 8 seconds to turn it off.
    Thank you Bigal470
