Custom Rims! - Bolt Pattern may be 5x114.3?

Discount Tire Direct - www.tires.com - has already listed custom rim fitments for the 300 and Magnum. They also list the bolt pattern as 5x114.3.

Previously it was stated that the bolt pattern would be 5x115 which is mainly Cadillac and GM specific. DTD sells 5x115 pattern wheels also but have not listed any for the LX cars. If this is true and Chrysler is keeping their previous bolt pattern of 5x114.3 then custom rims styles will be much more plentiful. Not many wheel companies make 5x115.

Note: Since 114.3 and 115 are so close it is possible to interchange them using special lugs I have been told.

I like the black one. What's it called?

On a slightly different topic, I visited Tirerack's website to see what tire options were available for my future Magnum RT. It will be coming with the self-sealing tires, which I don't really want. Do you know what other sized tires will fit on the standard 18" rims? I'm not clear on what else would work.

Since I despise chrome wheels and want some better tires, I could see ordering a full wheel and tire package FROM Tirerack.

BlackMagnum, that second wheels is the Privat Fahren:

I hate the tires selected for the Magnum RT and 300C - too damn tall. That 225/60/18 is a new size and will be hard to find. These sizes would be a great upgrade with the 18" rims which is 28.6" tall:

    235/55/18 28.2"
    245/55/18 28.6"

A 235/50/18 or 245/50/18 is where it starts getting interesting....

Those sizes are too short to maintain the correct rolling height. Those sizes will cause too much speedo error and may corrupt all the sensor used for ESP etc:

    235/50/18 - 27.3"
    245/50/18 - 27.6"

Maybe you can switch your good rims and tires FROM your LH with the Clad Crap Rims on the LX if the bolt patterns are the same.

I have been "wheel hunting" since my car went D1 3 weeks ago......
I went to Discount Tire. Their database says the front wheels can accept a 15mm offset, while the rear could accept anything up to 35mm offset.
I can tell you after searching for wheels for several days, the problem is with the front wheels. I was drooling over a set of 20" Foose "Spank 5" wheels, only to find that the front wheels would be a problem.
I took delivery of my RT today, and I can say that the front wheels WILL be an issue until the wheel vendors manufacture some nice wheels with little offset. You can run your finger behind the front tire and suspension at the top of the tire...... but your finger touches both at the same time! Not much clearance at all!

I saw a 300C with what looked to be 22s or 24s on it a couple days ago. Early 30s white businessman behind the wheel.

If I hadn't been going the opposite direction I would have asked him what size, brand, etc.

My problem has been this...yes the selection of 20's is slim but tires are even worse. Basically the only size you can even get close with that they make is a 245/40/20 but even that is almost a full inch off. The perfect match is a 245/45/20 but no one says they make that size. What size tires are these guys using with the 20's? Won't 1" difference in diameter throw everything off too much?

Always remember. Any rim with a center cap that covers the lug nuts can be drilled.
It sounds like S10 rims are going to fit nicely, offset pending...

Just an FYI...KMC makes a few wheels that have an offset we can use. They ranged in size FROM 20x8.5 to 20x9.5. The ones I have picked out so far are 20x8.5 KMC Vamp or KMC Unit. Both of these had +12 offset which supposedly will work in the front. Then we are mounting 275/40/20 tires which will bring the OD to within .2 of an inch...it won't get any closer then that. I'm hoping to make up my mind by the begining of next week and get them ordered to have them before the weekend.
