    CRASHED THE 300 - Pictures

It's a Cold and Rainy 37º today in the DFW area.

We had just left the house to head to the Nissan Dealership to look at a couple used cars.

I would say that we are less then 2 miles from the house on Hwy 423, we were doing 40-45 in a55 when the car slid off the road into the on-coming traffic's lane (no Traffic at the time of accident), we went into a ditch and hit a Concrete wedge shapped culvert that pushed us into a stop sign, the stop sign spun us around another 180º and we were facing almost the way we started.

The two cars that were behind us said that it looked like we hit ice, but its only 36-38º, the other guy said it looked like someone pushed us, like the PIT maneuver.

My 7 year old was pretty freaked out, I think she now understands why we insist that she wears the belt. The baby (1-1/2) only started to cry when she did.

The wife was freaked and her back hurts a little, I am just pissed and sad.

    Here are the pictures

Well at least everyone is alright. Sounds like it was the tires. Too cold for them? Anyone take a look at the road to see if there was anything on it?

good to hear you guys are ok. It hard to see the damage on the wheels with the grass but it looks that a good body shop will make the rest of the car new again.

So happy no one is hurt. Your car will be ok to.

Wide rims up front are famous for hydro-planing,or you may have it a patch of ice as stated.

The most important thing is your family is ok. Be glad you were not, going faster. The rest.....that is why we have insurance. Good luck.

sounds like something broke in your rear suspension... there's absolutely no reason a car would do that if it happened like you say. i wonder if a control arm broke or your abs went nuts and locked up a rear wheel or something. glad you're ok!!

So sad! I'm glad you and your family weren't seriously injured. I hope your wife doesn't have any long term back problems.
