    It could be goodbye!

Well Saturday was one of the worst all around days of my life and I have a bad feeling that it ended my Magnums life.

Now a word of warning. If you have the heavy winter floor mats, you know the ones with the big edges that trap snow and water in them, make sure that fit correctly. If not they can move and stick the accelerator pedal, then when you go to hit the brakes you might move the mat forward which would then in turn press the accelerator further. This is what happened to me, luckily the wall belongs that I took out belongs to my brother; thankfully it didn't hit the house or the Caddie.

After I made the turn into the driveway, which is about 200+ yards long I gently hit the gas and when I let off the pedal it was still going so I hit the brake which rocketed me forward. I hit the brakes harder (gee that should work) which I'm guessing put the pedal to the floor and really had me moving.

With only a couple of seconds to react I pretty much only had a choice of what to hit. Even if I had shut the car down I would have ended up nailing something or someone so I decided that the 12 inch block wall would stop me and would hopefully not cause me to bounce around into the other cars or the house.

So I haven't heard from the insurance if it's a total loss but I afraid that it might be. Full accident pictures are here if you're interested.

I feel your pain. A similar thing happened to me in a pick up. I was in reverse and smashed a dumpser into the back wall of a restaurant.

The harder I pushed the brake the faster I went WTF????

dang. I had my accelerator pedal stuck in WOT a few times the first 2 winters I drove my car. Scary to say the least, I was lucky enough to get my foot under the pedal to pull it out in time, but when your car is not doing what you expect. IE. Breaking when you stomp on the break pedal, that sh**t is scary. Glad your ok.

Ouch! Same thing happened to me when I had my wrangler a few years ago. Thankfully, that was a stick so I just depressed the clutch to figure out WTF was going on and slowed down with the e-brake. Scary sht...glad that you're ok and nobody was hurt but Maggie.

Just to confirm no one was hurt - I was the only one in the car and walked away just a little sore. They people watching said that the back end of the car was several feet off of the ground when it hit! 45 - 50+ mph on impact!

    Anyone else think its totalled?

So far here's what I know would have to be replaced (2006 AWD R/T).

    Front Bumper
Everything having to do with steering, driving, or stopping the drivers side tire + the tire and wheel
    Wind shield (airbag cracked it)
    Both airbags and dash
    Headlight
Rear bumper (the car shot around and hit a moving truck)
    Rear light

And finally the roof is dented on each side of the sun roof (car bent on impact) and the rear drivers side wheel looks like it's turned in.

Just for the record, I use the Mopar rubber floor mats. They have a hole that hooks to the floor like the carpet ones do. Don't hold as much water, but they're better than the alternative. (above pics or wet carpet)

    That sucks, man.

On the upside, if they total it out, then you can just go ahead and buy an SRT!
