My Kamikaze buddy just bought a new Csrt4 and has been laing down a flood of $hit talking so deep i need some wadding boots on. He wants to run me tonight.
How much should I wager? Should i even be worried?

Have you done any mods to your car? Has he? Is his even broken in yet? Be careful, those SRT4's are little rockets in the right hands. Personally, I'd be taking him serious, that way you won't be surprised. Just my![]()

I have intake with teel mesh race filter, muffler delete, iridium plugs, polyurethane bushings. simple stuff nothing major not even a diablo. And his car is super super bone stock. With a cocky cocky driver. And Calibers are slower then Neons and SRT4 neons i have pulled on a few with bolt ons.
My best Track ET in headwinds is a 14.05.
My average is 14.2
Calibers Stock run 14.7
SO there isnt much variance.

Those calibers are actually quite fast with 300Hp and the 6-speed. Be careful man, he might just hand you your a$$.. then again, maybe his FWD setup will mean too much wheel-spin.
I dont forsee that stock caliber breaking 14 flat. but it is 50 degrees out. he has had the car 4 days.
I figure on the highway I might be done. From a dig. i think he is done.
I have run some diablo'd lx's and not been embarrased.
We will see its going to go down in about a half hour so either way i will log back on and give the results.
I have seen track'd calibers @ imports vs domestic not breaking 14.5's
thats with sticky tarmac. so who knows

Well it is a win win situation, you both get to drink beer LOL
SLP CAI, SLP Catback, SLP 25% underdrive pulley, 170 stat, Predator SLP tunes[2], Mopar TCM, no esp mod.
I was reading on the Caliber forums that a lot of stock SRT-4's are running about 14.0-14.1 stock and they were showing track slips to prove it. Good luck man! I hope you do destroy the FWD crapper!
Unless he can drive his new ride, you should beat him easily. If he can stick the launch, you might have your hands full. I am actually close to pulling the trigger on a Cali SRT-4 to haul my mod parts in for my Charger!!![]()
Personal Best: coming soon!!
i hope you beat him, honestly, how can a little 4 cylinder beat a big V8??
RESULTS from 3 races and a race with a boosted civic that we flew by in Race 1.

RESULTS All races are to 120mph shutoff who gets there first. No need to go any faster. Because none of us trap @ 120.......
CSrt4 Vs Charger R/T Daytona
Race 1: DIG
I pulled on the CSRT4 by 4.5 solid cars. 2 car lead at 120mph shut off
Race 2: 20 roll
Caliber Walked away consistently for a 2.5 car lead at 120mph shut off
Race 3:Dig CSRT4 gets 3 cars
I caught the CSRT4 within approx 90 Feet fighting thru the CSRT4 tire smoke for a 1.5/2 car win @ 120mph shut off DUring race we passed a Boosted Civic
Civic vs CSRT4
Civic Hatch claimed to have d16 Sohc with turbonectic turbo and headwork.
Race 1: DIG
CSRT4 pulled 1 car and was slowly losing the lead Neck to neck @ shut off
Race 2: 20 roll
Civic pulls consistently on CSRT4 for a 1 car lead @ roughly 120mph shut off
Final Race Charger R/T Daytona Vs CIvic Hatch
Final Race: Dig
I pulled over 8-10 cars and held it
Civic Hatch claimed too much wheel spin.
Overall impression. Lx's need to watch out for the CSRT4 highways. Them things pull hard when they hook up in 3rd gear. And with 6 gears. Traction is its worst enemy.
I'd like to see a CSRT4 vs LXSRT8 Stock for stock from 20 Roll becasue it pulled on me like SRT8's do.
Its a win win becasue its Dodge vs Dodge..
