challanged by 3 mustangs in one night.....

so last night i was coming home from my buddies house and i saw two cars coming fast from behind...it was two 96-98 stangs gt with loud mufflers and who knows what else...both were manual and one had gta badges...anyways i didnt pay attention to them but as soon as they saw charger they both slowed down and started speeding up and slowing down beside me (it was three lane road)...well i let them do that but then we hit the light and the one with gta badges lined up beside me and started reving his engine the other one went behind him...well i decided to give the guy lesson as soon as light turned green we both got on it i pulled away and by the time we hit 80 i was about 4 cars ahead so i shut down and they flew by mebut the next light ahead was red so i guess he wanted second chance now they both lined up and they tried to leave early but again i just pulled away from them...they flew by and i didnt see them again...anyways later on im stitting at the light and see red mustang(loud as hell) coming beside me but before he gets to stop light turns green and he gets on it so he got car right a way because he was still rolling anyway this time it wasnt as easy as i thought...but still i slowlly cought and passed him but ....then we stopped at the next light where i was turning and i saw cobra badges and sign on the back it was 96 svt cobra and the guy said he is suprised i beat him even tho he was rolling he said he didnt think i would keep up he said he has 270rwhp...we gave each other thumbs up and went our way...just wanted to share in case somebody with that kind of car wants to race you

Also FWIW, the 96-98 Mustang GT's are the slowest mustangs since the Mustang II.

i guess they need to learn the hard way....i didnt wanna race the first two, because i knew i would beat them, but when they drive beside you for couple miles and they keep doing the speed up,slow down s*it...then you have to show them why you dont wanna race and waste your gas.....anyways with the cobra it was the different story,i actually wanted to see how i can do against him,i knew that stock has 305hp and i could tell he had some things done to it so i didnt think i will win....but i guess we are not that slow ...it was fun andf like i said even the guy was surprised that he lost

Three in one night, I can't even get three races in a year! Nice work putting the ponies back in their stables.

    Stangs can be so deceptive

Mustangs have been around so long that there are almost an unlimited supply of mods for them. The Speed shop that I frequent is really a Stang shop, but there aren't any real mopar speed shops in my area.

They have one SVT that is someone's daily driver, and looks stock from the outside. It's best Dyno marked his RWHP at over 900. That is one beast of a car.

I know the feeling, JBA's speed shop is chocked full of mustangs. I went there the other day and every car there was either a stang or had the same motor as one.
