    Caution Battery Leakage!!!!!!!!

Please lift the rear cover and take a look at your battery! I have very little paint left under the battery box. The vent tube was hooked up correctly and I checked for overcharge and found nothing wrong. The picture of the battery shows an indent where the strap bracket was pushing the side in, I don't know if this causes the battery to "inhale and exhale" as I drive or if it has nothing to do with anything, the bracket was bent. This is a safety issue please look at yours!!

Six pack? I was thinking of a battery box, but how to fasten it all down. That is one of the checked items at tech before a race after all. I may just use a box till I figure out what is going on here.

Hmmm. Have you looked close at what we have to work with, at least what is there now? There is a bottom clamp and the strap. I wonder why the strap is even there.

Wow. Thanks for posting this. It's amazing to see this in a car where the battery is in back. No engine heat! I've seen heat cause problems like that in the past.

Optima batteries are nice. They have a gel inside so they don't leak. The Border Patrol uses them because they will take a bullet and still start your car.
