Car Electrical Mishap!!!!!

So today I get home from work leave the car running cause the wife and I are gonna go out, get back in the car shut all the doors and the door ajar light is lite. So I check all the doors and reliaze that I can't unlock or lock the doors with the door panel switches, so i manually do it everythings shut nice and tight still the light on. all the lights are on in the car the dash is lite up I can only look at the temp on the gauge cluster and can't rotate between trip, odometer and temp. so i try everything i can think of to fix it. and the only thing i came up with was a battery disconnect, which solved the problem.

But my question is what happened, what did i do to make this occur. is something wrong??? there's no lights, no nothing... it acts now as if nothing is wrong. Please fellow lxer's fill me in with ur insight. i've only got 1000 left on the bumper to bumper warranty.

Is there any computer part that could be messed up, or did i just do something to make this event occur and it was all pure fluke.

It might be a possible door switch issue, it'd be the first one I've heard of, but it seems like one of the more likely possibilities.

just a hickup A ghost in the machine. Computers have glitches. I use to freak everytime my car did somthing weird, like vroom suddenly at a redlight, almost rear ending the car in front of me (I now hold the break harder), or doing nothing but spinning rpms sometimes when I put it in gear, or the back drivers window working sometimes and not others, or the remote not working then being all happy. I know the switch in that back left wondow needs to be replaced but the rest is just chalked up to an early version of a computer that will be revised many many times.

started my mag today, no turn signels,no dig readout,no winsheld wipers, no hi beam------only changes on car--cat back and k/n----only possable factor, not driver for 2weeks---HELP! how do i clear the p/c /?--

did this happen on the magnum or the 300? year, model and engine would be helpful.
does it have auto up windows on both front doors?

i know these questions may seem strange but there is method to my madness.

05 magnum se 2.7l

it only has auto windows on the driverside front only.

well wait not auto up windows, only auto down after one second on driver front.

doubt it's something you did. sounds like the CCN/cluster may have lost one of it's power sources or locked up somehow. since you're still under warranty, i'd get the dealer to look at it. even if they don't find anything, at least it will be documented. you disconnecting the battery, although it seems to have cured it, will also have erased any possible DTCs so don't be surprised if they can't find a solution. you might also want to check that all fuses (front and rear) are fully inserted.

will do, ya i thought of that, well not to unhook the battery. but the lights wouldn't shut off and i knew if i didn't the battery would be dead for sure in the morning.

Did you get a static shock getting out of the car??? A static zap could cause a hiccup like that... i know with the weather right now i get one getting out of the car and the radio is effected by it. There is a TSB for static straps on the seat frame rails,

Had the samething happen again today, checked the error codes and pulled a code 481 which is Cooling fan relay 2 control circuit.

What would this have to do with whats happening and where is this relay located? If so I might just try getting another relay and just putting one in, if this is the case.
