About LinkBacksI converted to synth. and was wondering if an SRT-8 cap says Mobil-1 or something about synthetics in case in a pinch I have to have it done at a shop and they forget or something. My R/T just says 5W-20. I know it sounds dumb but it's kinda important to not screw this up.

Can I see your oil filler cap on an SRT-8?

I guess you could always get an aftermarket cap, maybe billet and have that engraved on it, just an option.

Id have to go outside and look to see the exact wording, but the cap does say mobil1 and 0w.

Wow! I thought you guys were the same visc. as a 5.7 Hmmmmm I stand corrected! Wow x2! Where the heck do you guys find that weight? K9eros I think I can figure/make out what it says. If it says 0W40 then I will have to go the cutsom cap route. Learn something every day!

It has the Mobil 1 logo, as you can see. Under that it says:
SAE 0W40

I find the 0W-40 Mobil 1 at Autozone. Amsoil also makes a 5W-40 European Formula synthetic that is also ok according to the owners manual. I may go to that eventually.

Any cars out there that take 5W-20 as a synth that would have a compatable cap thread to a 5.7? My brother's Mach 1 may work/uses 5W20 synth blend..I have to find the LX'er who has an SRT-8 MAg/Azure MAch 1 in his sig...hmmm.
