    Can dealerships charge for tsb's

    dealership is charging me for updating my PCM for my 2005 durango
    Tsb 18-013-05a.

    If you are out of warranty, yes. A TSB is an informational bulletin to let the dealers know about common problems and how to fix them. They are not "recalls".

    My dealer refused to do any TSBs unless they could reproduce that particular symptom. I even tried saying "my car has this problem, TSB # fixes it", and they still wouldn't do them.

    Time for a new service dealership...maybe let the general manager know why your leaving too. In this economy, they can't afford to lose customers.

    $95 is not bad for the diagnosis they did and the PCM upgrade. Had 2 recalls done to the durango and TSB.
