You can start by figuring out what your goals are. How much power are you looking to build? Are you planning to stay naturally aspirated or do you plan to supercharge/turbocharge? Are you planning to change your torque converter? Do you want to keep MDS? Do you want more streetable torque or upper-RPM horsepower?

There are a ton of great people on here that can and will help once you specify what your goals are.

The sky is the limit. Or maybe I should say the stock 5.7 cast exhaust manifold is the limit.
Replace that with a SRT exh. manifold, mids, and get that connected to your SLP, and you'll have room to breath.
Without that, and for a mild streetable build that boosts 30+HP the Sidewinder can't be beat. HHP Bessmer Comp 260 functions well also, and will run on the stock PCM flash. It likes a custom tune for a few more HP.
So maybe start with a DS tuner that's needed to support the cam.

The stock 5.7 heads breath pretty well without any modification, but changing all valve springs to 6.1 exhaust springs.

All that's left is the restriction of the stock 5.7 intake manifold for 6K RPM and above. Eagle and 6.1 are adaptable.

I've blown well over 15K on a stroker, tranny, rear end and half shaft mods to hold it all together.

Honestly, if I had a re-do - I'd have just done the exhaust from manifold to tips, and a Sidewinder. That really wakes the car up. That will put you close to SRT power. The speed limit is still 65.
Adaptive Craving Control-by Hal9000 modification strictly prohibited

^^^^^ I agree and will add that Inertia's Super Spartan is a pretty badass cam in it's own right as well (you just need SRT valvesprings and 6.1 pushrods) and you're all set. Should get you 30+ RWHP/TQ.

When I did my cam install, I pulled the fascia, dropped the radiator, and pulled the heads. It's pretty simple at that point. You do need new primary head bolts, and it's a great time to put on SRT or shorty headers while you're at it.

Check around the forum and local area for roving LX mechanics.

Yes, plan on either SRT exhaust or headers with the cam. Once you get those 5.7 exhaust manifolds out where you can take a look at them, you will see how restrictive they are. I just did JBA shorties so I wouldn't have to replace everything else behind it.

I wouldn't trust anyone here to do the work. Heard good things about both of those places.
