    CAI owners question

Hi all, I was in the market for a CAI, problem is I don't know which one I want. I know the Mopar one looks good and have seen it on one of the SRT's that my friend has. I've also seen the C&L one on a Magnum. I thought that one looked good as well. I"m kinda leaning toward those two but also heard good things about Rota-fab and Airaid. So anyone who has these can chime in and let me know what they think of the ones you have so I can get some comparisions. I know most are about the same but what I'm looking for is fit/finish, looks and how you think it responds. Also, I noticed some are "sealed" like the C&L, and others are open in the front part. What's the best one out there?? Thanks for your help in advance.

oh boy lol... i would use the search button honestly cause think it comes down to you preferance with the way it looks. as i believe they are all pretty close to each other performance wise.... but i would def. like to get my hands on the air hammer or aria... or the ae carbon but currently i run either my bwoody or my kool vue budget cai..

I had the C&L.......then I got the airaid that attaches to the SRT hood because I put an SRT hood on my charger.....

Even though the C&L is "sealed" in a box (trim ring they provide that attaches to factory lower airbox), they still suggest you cut a huge hole out of the front of that box for air to get in the front from behind the headlight, etc. I liked the C&L but dam that mofo got hot after a little aggressive driving. Almost "split your skin" hot.......

I put the Airaid on and it stays much cooler, Ive noticed no performance difference between the C&L and Airaid on the car.......my dad has the standard 5.7 airaid intake without the SRT hood attachment and lvoes it as well.

At the end of the day, despite "he say she say" and all the testing that contradicts what the last test said, etc........Im to the point where, IMO, none of it matters.....pick an intake you think looks best and run with it

Well, you can see what an Air Hammer looks like...

From the West Coast to the East Coast...

I have heard that you will gain about 15 horse with it and that it was dyno proven. I saw a huge difference in power with it. Part of the beauty and design is the tapered intake tube. It really increases the air volume going in and the fact that there aren't any sharp 90* bends in it also increases air flow.

Make sure to check out Hammer Automotive and pose any questions you may have to the Rev. He also has his phone # in his avatar, so he is open to calls anytime.

I can't speak for any of the other systems out there about their claims and the true results, but I can about Air Hammer! Since having one, I wouldn't want to try any other brand out there.
