    A/C Compressor noise

My '08 Challenger has a noise(whine) in the A/C compressor. At first I thought it was the transmission, because the noise increased with RPMs. But I happened to turn the A/C off and the whine stopped. My dealer says its a "tight" compressor, and not to worry, and I really hate for them to start replacing parts so soon, but I hate noises that arent supposed to be there. I assume this wouldn't be a Challenger only problem, but my '07 Charger SuperBee doesnt do it. Any one else notice this noise?

I have a terrible grinding/vibration coming out of mine. Still blows plenty cool, but sounds horrid.
