    Factory Tour?

Is it possible to take a tour of the Brampton factory? I'm taking a roadtrip FROM Cleveland, where I'm picking up my Magnum, back to California and a trip to the factory would be a fun side-trip.

I'm not sure if they give public tours. But, lLast year a few of the employees arranged a tour for DI.Net members.

I asked Dieter Zetsche himself about a tour. We were put off last year as they stopped tours during the conversion to LX. I asked if we could do one this August after the Woodward Dream Cruise, like we did in 2002. Again, Dieter said we need to wait until 2005, due to a lot of stuff still going on regarding the rollout of LX.

I understand that you can tour the plant on an individual basis. I guess they arrange for a small GROUP and they have tour guides that take you through. Not sure if it is only on specific days. We used to have a couple of workers FROM the plant on the 300M board but a problem arose about certain information getting out and these guys were in a bit of trouble, but I guess this got resolved, but I have not seen them on the board lately.

Interesting. I'll be in the area when I pick up my car. Who should I contact for an individual tour?

They're running prototypes and testers for the Charger and perhaps the "Airflite" through there right now.

Don't expect any tours of that facility for the general public until these prototypes become production vehicles.
