Bought materials for my next mod...

I was walking out to my car at lunch when this sick Cayene Turbo S comes pulling into the lot. All I could see was his bright red brake calipers as he pulled in. So I proceeded to the auto parts store and bought the Dupli-Color red ceramic brake caliper paint. Been thinking about doing it for awhile now, will have to wait till it stops raining and warms up a bit.

Any advice or experiences you guys would like to share??? Am also thinking about getting the Dupli-Color accessory paint and doing my fog light housing and license plate hold with cool vanilla. Might not do it if I get the Charger Chin Spoiler this week. I might like how the black stands out.

Just make sure you clean it good. It comes with a cleaner. The paint is very good and hard , best to let it sit for 24hrs. This is duplicolor

Very Sharp!!! Did you paint the entire calpier front to back? I just want to make sure I do not run out of paint by doing too much and shorting myself. Also how many coats?

I did mine as well, there is enough paint in the kit to do 5 coats on 20 calipers.I think I'm gonna clean mine and give them a retouch for spring.

I did 3 coats(first one is dry when you finish the last one) and painted the whole caliper and I still have 1/2 can left.

    The decals are from http://www.vinzdecals.com/createcaliper.html

You can put any words that you want and style ...only 10 bucks. Heat has been no problem. Just make sure that the surface is deglazed before you apply. I used a little brake clean on the area that I wanted the decal. That made a good surface for application.

Stupid question. Did you do them on the car, or remove them?

I did them on the car. Lift at the shop (makes it nice and easy) , all wheels off. Piece of cake.

Heya NC-SXT. I gotta tell you that the day I went down to Avon I talked to Ernie about this but we had'nt seen anyone that had done it. We wanted to know how the stickers would handle the heat. I think it looks really good!!!! Looks like Ill be ripping you off with this mod. Thanks for the post.
