Blank screen on radio

The radio works, but there was no display. Adjusted the volume and the vol bar appeared. Turned it off then back on, and all is fine. This is the first time it did it. I have the 6-disk cd/nav. Should I look into getting the extended warranty?

Like others have mentioned, try pressing the "INFO" button on upper right, that 'might' get your screen back.

I have had this happen twice in two years of owning my Mag - both times the screen was completely blank on startup, both times the only thing that would bring it back was a re-start, after which it was perfectly normal. Don't have any idea what causes this little "hiccup," but I do know that given the frequency of its occurence there's no way I could ever demonstrate this to a dealer...

I'd say keep your eye open for it, but chances are you may not see it again for a while...

Thanks for the info guys. This was the first time in 2+yrs that this happened. I hope that it doesn't go out for good. With nav and all =$$$.
What does a radio flash do? Will the dealer do it if you ask, or do you have to show what it does first?
