Billet Technology climate knob owners click here!

I will be the last person to complain about a spot on company that makes amazing things for our vehicles but I was wondering if anyone is having a little difficulty with their knobs.

I carefully placed the knob over the little backlit line that is the pointer/origin of light w/the headlamps on. I test fit it dead center and a little offset because at night, I can't always see where the pointer is at. At certain angles it looks ok but at other angles I can't tell what setting I am on (the standard 3 knobby unit) I have tried different fitment and of course the knob itself is terrific but I can't see enough light shingin through it.

I am thinking it should not necesarily be a wider cutout, but one with a bit of an angle so I can see the light from the sides better...not just dead on like I was the middle passenger in the back seat.

Maybe I am sounding like an idiot but it is starting to get to me a little bit although during the day this obviously isn't a problem.

My headlight switch is a little better since it is more in front of me.

Anybody thinking the same thing here?

I don't have that piece so I can't help you out, but I do have some other BT products and their customer service is beyond top notch. PM Heidi and let her know your concerns. They have done lots of custom stuff for forum members and they are always happy to hear suggestions to improve their products. Best customer service I've had in a long time, in person, internet, anywhere. Just get in touch with them, they'll make it right.

I have them, along with many others, and I have not really noticed. I do not adjust mine enough to have to see the the light at night. But if you bring this up to them, Heidi will for sure address it.

I would suggest removing the OEM knob, and installing the Billet Tech knob over it while it is removed from the dash (the OEM can be removed if you turn the knobs all the way left then pull)

then align the billet knob so you like it, I would also suggest a few drops of Elmer's school glue to fasten it and keep it in place, because when it is cold they expand and then when you go to turn the knob the billet cover slides.

I suggest the Elmer's school glue because it will hold fast, but should you decided to remove them a little hair dryer heat and the Billet knob pops off and the glue easily cleans off without marring up OEM parts..

Yep, give us a call. Better yet, call and talk with Neal. Not because we are selling the product, but neither myself or Ken have an issues with them in our Charger and Maggie (light slot).

If you are having issues with the "spinning" and they may be moving a bit as Mr. I pointed out, or just PM me and I will send you out some extra 3M adheasive. Just place it on the OD of the knobs and it will stop any spinning issues you may be having until it warms up.

Sorry I didn't see this thread until now. We have been super busy. Yes, please never hesitate to call or PM or email me at heidivpi@fdn.com

Please don't misunderstand me guys...I have no problems at all with the knobs...I just wish they let more light through so I can see the knotch at night. The necesary thickness of the billet over the original knob sets the original OEM knob back and doesn't allow you to see it as bright. It isn't the end of the world. They definitely don't spin, I used the supplied 3M and it was perfect. It is the way the design is and unless the opening was larger there is no way around it other then beveling it or something. Then you might see the factory knob a little too much behind it which is a bad thing. Please...I don't want to be that guy who looks like a stick in the mud when tons of praise for BT is coming from everyone else. I was the first to leave them gleaming feedback on ebay a few weeks back and tried to suggest they come over here (alas they already knew a few days before I mentioned!) I love the line of accessories!
I love the knobs, I just have to adjust the angle I look at them at night a tiny bit.

That is all, just feeling out if anyone thought the same thing I do.

Hey there. I certainly don't want you to feel like a stick in the mud. Yep, you were also right on it with Dan and Ebay also. I'm going to show this to both Neal and Dan, and perhaps we can come up with a little bit better solution. I don't know how to really answer for you other than I need to talk to the boys designing it and making it.

Hey guys and gals this type of feedback is important and necessary. Sometimes I miss stuff on the boards, especially of late because we are so busy. PM or email us anything and everything that you have questions or comments on. We really do listen.
