    Beware hk-plus

Ebay vendor, famous for the $50 backup sensor kits. I received mine in 2 weeks, and opened the package, only to find out there was a cable missing which adapted the display to the controller box. Sent email requesting further information, they (carrie) responded with "send pic of received parts." I sent a pic within 5 minutes of that email, and haven't heard from them since. 3 more follow-on emails to get a response have gone unanswered.

Granted, getting stiffed $50 on an ebay buy isn't all that disturbing, but now I have to waste more time to find another kit from another vendor somewhere to get and install. Buying another one just for the cable has occured to me, but I dont want to deal with hk-plus again. I have emailed the manufacturer of the kit to see if the cable is available, but again, no response.

If you paid with Paypal, log into your Paypal account and file a Dispute. If they find in your favor, you will get your money back.

If you paid with check or money order, then file a dispute directly with ebay. You will lose $25 in the end if they find in your favor... that is better than losing all $50.

Been there. Done that. I did it a few weeks ago to a chinese dude that sold me a fake or poor quality bluetooth headset on ebay. All of a sudden his engrish got better and he did confirm FINALLY that he had mailed the replacement and it would be at my house soon. Paypal had given me the money back by that point, so once I got the headset, tested it, and was happy so I sent him his money back. No harm no foul.

It's a pain in the butt to have to do this, but it does provide results sometimes and does protect you against not getting what you paid for. Make sure that you indicate in the dispute that you paid for a COMPLETE kit that included all critical wiring. Clearly state that you received a partial kit that was missing a critical special wire that connects the backup display to the backup sensor computer unit.
