I had dropped off the kido at school and was proceeding to work via back roads this morning. A Benz pulled up beside me at a stop light, nothing to worry about. The Benz was eyeing the Charger, gave a thumb up on his ride and got one back. Then he pointed down the road... hum no one in site, clear roads let’s stretch the Chargers legs this morning, gave him another thumbs up.
Cross light changes to yellow, run the Baby up to 15K... green light and let off the break started to launch, I about wet myself when that Benz was out a car length on me before the Charger had fired on eight cylinders. Damn, it wasn't even an engagement.
OK luck break for the Benz, I was wishing that. I caught up with him on another stretch of clear road. This time we hooked up with a rolling 40 Mph start. Same result, that Benz didn’t take a breath and was walking away without hesitation.
He turned into a gas station so I had to stop and exchanged words. He complemented the Charger he said she was a beautiful car and nice sounding. I had complement that Benz-Beast he was riding and asked if she was full, that thing ate me for breakfast. That’s when he filled me in on the stock supercharger and HP it pumped. The Benz-Beast was a 2006 CL55 AMG w/an AMG built supercharged 5.5L 493hp 516 hp torque.
Even though I got swept and mopped it was fun! Got a new friend out of the deal, he want’s to hook up and do some moding, great guy.
After I pump another $80,000 into the Mango to catch-up with his sticker price and I bet I would keep pace w/that Beast
"Walkin' the thin white line on this smiling road. 40 days, I've been all alone. Draggin' my heart all across this world. I got 100 miles to go before I get back to see my girl. Aint got nothing, I got nothing to lose. I keep walking away these blues. The cup is broken, but it's half full. I got 100 miles to go before I get back to see my girl."
