    Back Again

Wow it's been just about 2 months since I last logged in on the LX forum, over 45,000 new posts later...iRock is FEB's LXer of the month and Rev Hammer still the undisputed LX champion of posts!

Missed a lot of good threads over that time. It was a pretty rough 2 months as just before Christmas our 15 month old son had some serious health issues arise and was transported to Childrens Hospital and spent a few weeks in ICU! Not the way our family wanted to spend Christmas and New Year's.

The good news is he is doing very well and on the road to recovery! He is a big trooper, our little tough guy and quite the little charmer with the lady nurses! We finally have gotten home and got our lives back to somewhat normal and with that I get sometime to log onto LXforum and get the latest on the LX platform issues from this great family of owners!

We have been enjoying our Magnum RT AWD as it just turned over 5000 km and it has been fantastic through the winter months in the snow. It has been very trouble free and fun to drive especially those WOT's.

The only difference we have noticed is lately the fuel mileage has dropped significantly when we first got the car...we normally got 15 to 16mpg city and 22 to 24 mpg highway. That has dropped to 13 to 14 mpg city and 19 to 21 mpg highway. I figure it is the colder weather and possibly the winter fuel blend that has dropped the mileage as well as running on winter tires (softer rubber and more sticky). I does not bother me too much as what do you expect for 340 hp and 4100lb vehicle. It would be nice to see it back to were it was....I was curious if I should get Dodge to flash the car for the MDS system?

I am looking forward to the spring and get the 20's on the car and hopefully we will have a little extra in our pocket to add a few more upgrades like CAI and possibly Zoomers, but our sons health is on the #1 priority list right now!

A HUGE welcome back. I am very happy to hear your boy is doing well. Cheers!

The Magnum has a soul. It has a personality, something all too lacking in the automotive transportation appliances everybody else is offering.

Welcome back! Glad to hear the kiddo is doing better.

Sorry to hear about your drop in gas mileage. Mine has incredibly increased to a constant 20+ and I'm even running reg. unleaded., have 20K+, and still the stock conti's (wearing amazingly well). Hope you get it resolved soon.
