    Auto-Climate blowng cold air

Now that it is getting cold around here, I have noticed (or should I say the wife did) that if you leave the heating system in auto mode, it will blow cold air until the engine gets up to temperature. Is this right? None of my other cars with climate control had that feature :-)

It depends on how you have your controls set. Set the right knob in the auto position and the blower in either hi or lo auto (nearly all the way to the left) and mine will wait until the engine warms before starting to blow. Set the blower knob anywhere else and it will start to blow as soon as you start the car.

Hmmm. Sounds like I have a problem then, because I leave mine in hi or lo auto all the time, and it blows as soon as I start the car. It was 30 degrees this morning and it blew.

    MF :-)

The systems starts out at a fairly strong fan and then backs it back, but does not shut it off. I'll have to dig through through the service manual and see what I can find.

When mine is on Auto Low, it blows as loud as if it was turned about halfway up on manual. It's a lot louder than I care for.
