Anyone buy a SRT8 for Employee Pricing Plus Discounts?

I've seen some outrageous markups on SRT8 Chargers and Challengers. Given that fact, I was wondering if anyone has actually bought either SRT8 model for the advertised Dodge discounts or less?

Hopefully a certain somebody will chime in... he just picked up a GCSRT8, but not sure if he's layin low under the radar right now about that.

Not sure if he means me... But I did recently order a GCSRT8, and will be getting it for roughly $39,*** after the 7/70. As for the Charger or Challenger, one of the guys I work with plans to use the same service as I did to pick up an 09 Challenger SRT8... He should be putting in his order in a week or two, and will pay less than MSRP. However we are using a special overseas military buyers program, and "dealer markups" are not allowed...

employee discounts for SRT's are no longer going on. I think it only lasted for a few days.

i was gonna say the same thing...in ca even on the commercials for that discount...at the bottom in small text, it says "srt8 charger/challenger excluded"

I bought mine in July 2006 on the employee disicount.
I had already talked the dealer out of the 10K markup and during the financing negotiation (It took me 3 days to buy the car). Dodge came out with the employee discount. The dealer was amazed it also covered the SRT8. I dodn't get 0% rate because it was not available but I ended up with 5%.

Sticker: $48,000
Markup: +10K = $58,000 (Joke)

Final Purchase price after employee discount....
about $42,000.

i paid about 38 for my loaded srt in 06. i got the employee pricing from one dealership. although i was laughed at in another dealership who wanted a 5K markup

Update:

I just got back from a local dealer and getting a fully loaded SRT8 Charger could be had for $10,000 off MSRP, no problem. That was still more than I think I want to pay, so their parting words were "what would you give us to get you into that car today?".

Anybody looking for a Daytona? They are buried in Orange and White Daytonas.

I was told, no deals on SRT8 Challengers.

the newspaper ads been saying "excludes, SRT, diesel, chassis cab, and certain fleet vehicles"

nothing about Challenger's, but after Chrysler has been put on the list of companies to not survive '09, i am not sure if i want to buy one.

I know someone that was able to get a 2009 Challenger through Employee pricing. He even traded in a same year 6 Speed to get the automatic. Yup the Employee Pricing on SRT8 only lasted a couple of days.... You had to just about live at the dearlership to have gotten it...LOL

You could not get one with the exact options you wanted.... meaning you could not order one. Once the VIN number was sent in for reservation... you were STUCK. Yes you could have backed out..but changing the car well lets say that became out of the question.
