any one else know that you can turn off the interior lights

so they don't come on when the door opens...

I discovered by accident tonight that if you turn the dash light control all the way down it clicks, and when you open your doors your lights don't come on.

any one else know about this???/

That was one of the features that I liked about my Magnum and it has been in that mode from day one.

Yep! Isn't that a standard feature on most cars?

Yep. My Durango does the same.

BTW, I use this feature quite a bit to turn off my LED interior lights so the starting process does not surge them and burn them out.

Every car I've ever had, even my '68 Chevelle, has done this. But, on the newer cars, if you leave you door open for a length of time, the dome light turns off automatically (as long as you don't do anything like turn the key on or something that would make the computer think you are active in the car) - I see this happen when I vaccuum/detail the car.

Now what'd be REALLY cool is if that same detent position on the switch turned off the dash lights even if you had the headlights on.

with the dim switch all the way down, i also found that when you set the alarm , the delay front headlights don't come on.
