    AirRide Technologies

Is anyone running the AirRide Kit on their LX? What do you think of it and what is the performance like?

They make good stuff...no experience w/them on an LX...

IMO your better off going w/the UAS kit...cheaper, great quality, and a manufactur that will help you all the way through the install.

UAS is 100 times better. The people there are/will be much more helpful than any of the other companies out there. The LX kit is great. I have had no problems with it and the pdf file on their site is soo helpful. AirRide doesnt do that...but their kit is much better than stock stuff and the body roll is reduced by alot! I prefer the UAS kit/service over AirRide or the others.

I'd HIGHLY recommend Universal Air Suspension. They're a vendor here and they're a GREAT company to work with. Check out their site and private message Zack on the forums here to get the forum price. Their kit is very high quality and the parts are flawless.. the ride is excellent. I posted a writeup about the kit a while back, if you search my posts..

I've heard of a few horror stories with the AirRide Technologies parts and the <other> company, but you never hear horror stories with UAS - this should tell you right here, and it was definitely enough for me to go with their kit..

I would always recommend UAS, but that's just my biased opinion.

I couldn't tell you which one is better then the other, but I could say that most people on this site that are bagged, are running the UAS kit with pretty much no problems at all.

The price is affordable, the parts are high quality, customer services is by far one of the best.

As for handling, I believe Grinner (Moddin Art) had a video clip of him pushing the car around a parking lot. IMO it handles great for a car of this magnitude.

    UAS is better because:

    1) Viair compressors are MUCH better and higher end ones in the UAS kit. Others kits are only 380C, although you can upgrade but that will cost you $300+!

    2)UAS has better service.

3)Its a proven system with many people on here using it.

4)Air Ride is the current 3rd best kit out for the LX cars. UAS is the top, Easy Street is 2nd (can be found on ebay), and Air Ride is last. Plus Air Ride has an ugly @$$ black tank.

5)Front air struts are sealed against the shocks and have been known to make alot of noise when driving the car on the others.

6)UAS has stainless steel tank that will not rust.

7)UAS will fit in the spare tire well, those will not.

8)1 year warranty vs 3 year with UAS.

Ive done all my research trust me. I am happy with the UAS kit and not the other ones.

I had no choice when I bagged mine. There wasn't any kits out yet, mine was custom built using Air Ride Technologies components.
I wouldn't recommend A.R.T. at all. I used their Shockwaves. They weren't meant for supporting the weight of these cars as daily drivers. I had 3 or 4 events with blown internals. The warranty system sucked and they wouldn't ever replace one. My bag guy had to keep rebuilding them as they blew. The front bags were always the issue. Never the rear! I had a major malfunction in San Fransisco last year, coming home from the Spring Fling in Irvine. Spent two extra days in San Fransisco because of it. Had to replace the front Shockwaves with OEM struts just to make it home to Seattle. Later, I ended up putting Universal Air on the front. No problems since!
Air Ride Technologies lacks warranty and customer service!

    GO UNIVERSAL AIR SUSPENSIONS!!!

If you have any questions......fire away!

Seems to me that UAS are not adjustable shocks, were AirRide's are. Thoughts? Impressive Vid.

UAS = Koni. Keep a look out for it as it will top all kits.
