    Additives

What additives does everyone run in their Mopars? I use Marvels Mystery Oil in my gas and engine oil. When I get higher milage I will start usuing Lucas Oil stabalizer. I don't know what to use in a lower milage tranny. I use limited slip differential additive in my high milage tranny. What should I use in my Chargers tranny [06 SXT 5 speed]

I wouldn't run any aditives in a LX car. Mobil 1, Mopar ATF+4 in transmission and power steering, and Mopar SAE 75W140 in the differential. I've got almost 150,000 very hard miles on my RT Magnum. It's essentially still new. Had the motor apart to put in Sidewinder cam last week, clean as hound's tooth , tight as a tic on the hound. Original camshaft looked new still! Those Mopar lubes are the best, hands down, synthetic oil, pick one, they are all good.

I was told not to switch to synthetic since I already have 59K miles on conventional oil. Synthetic will cause leaks is what I was told. I use Marvels Mystery oil and I have never had and engine oil related problem. As for transmissions I only used additives in my 81 Mirada and it ran twice as smooth because of the additives I put in it. I have tried and true results that I am happy with and will most likley stick with them.

The point is, to run the recommended viscosity, 5w20 for the 5.7's. Also I run Torco 5w20 synthetic motor oil, it frees up approx. 6 hp.

I used Marvel oil for years in my '68 Camaro, also in my T birds before that. It is a good product and was glad to have for many years. However with the synthetic stuff today it is just not needed. My preferance is is Royal Purple but Mobil 1 and Amsoil provide more protection than 99% of us will ever need.

    old school

additives are old school, and I would be EXTREMELY cautious about using them in a newer car.

But the facts are: If you really believe it, then it's true!
