It would certainly seem so, since XV Motorsports is doing it... Check out the latest issue of Maxim:

If Nathan's car wasn't there before it should be there or very close now. In any case we can do it.

Our goal is 600 in N/A trim in all seriousness...........
Now I see the Meet in the Middle thread, I think we'll try and shoot for that to show it off.
As it sits right now, we'll need Schubeck, TRE Racing, and Diamondback Racing to really step up and move quickly and we have to hope to nail our tune...........
I've been doing alot of work lately on how to fire the coils w/ a carb and I think I have the combo now..........very tricky.
We'll be taking pictures soon enough..............alot of work is going on right now on it.
Oh........BTW.................we're trying for 600 RWHP...............but alas, we're not on gasoline either..........its alky.
formulas are easy. based of a weight and a trap speed. for instance, 113 mph in a 1/4 mile race with a weight of 4700 pounds shows up as 457 or so hp. its not the end all in formulas, but the math is pretty close.
123 mph for a 4700 pound car is showing up as 683 hp
granted, that should be wheel hp also.

600 rwhp on a 5.7 would be sweet, but I see it on a 6.1 before a 5.7 :(
i agree. the closest i know of is some where between 450-480 depending on who is telling the story at this time. rwhp numbers. very little tuning.
very little camshaft also.
ppp claims to have the best so far i think. i believe its around the 457-460 rwhp mark.
hhp did a car that dynoed well also.
5.7 cars are a bit lower still. pushing the 400 rwhp mark at this time. in fact our buddy inferal has his sitting at around 392-398 or so rwhp and has been doing that for some months now, maybe 6?

stock bottom ended 6.1's have hit 114 before which should equate to about 460 to to the the wheels and 543 to the crank.
Not sure the question is addressing strokers is it?
I dunno.... Once you start boring and stroking, then you really don't have a 6.1 anymore. I guess Nathan is out then.

if so, the best has been the PPP car. think there at 490 rwhp.
but that was with diablo.
