I cannot find the post for this motor. Does anyone have a date that it is being released and a part#?

That was shown at SEMA. As far as I know we won't see it until the 2009 Challenger

I read somewhere (maybe on this site) that it will be available as a "crate" engine sometime next year. Call a Dodge dealer and see if they know anything.

I read on AllPar.com that it would be in the Challenger but I also read on this site that the crate will be available in 90 days...so as of right now...nobody knows anything for sure

have my fingers crossed though...would love to drop this in mine in a couple months

That is the reason I was asking. I read on one of the threads as you did northeastern08 that it will me available as crate motor coming out soon and THAT is why I asked for a part number.

doesnt say much, but at least the "rumor" extends about the crate motor outside this forum

i was also just thinking, i would probably buy that challenger that they showed there at SEMA if they produced it with new tech and motor like it is shown there...old body style, new interior, new motor, new electronics (but i guess you could do that to any rebuild)... in any case, definately impatient here :grin:

Heard it was a crate motor and nothing more. Would be cool to come in a Challenger but others say it won't come with a production model car.
