    3 Questions please (troubleshooting)

    Hey there.

Sometimes the BAS light comes on when I start the car and stays on. If I re-start it goes out. Any thoughts?

Sometimes the car just cranks and doesnt want to start unless I let the key cycle for a few seconds. Any thoughts

I was told that the rack needs to be replaced because an inner tie rod is bad. Is this true.

Any input on these thre things would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

1- the BAS/ESP warning lamp will illuminate whenever the ABM (antilock brake module) detects a malfunction. the most common cause is steering angle sensor communication. when this occurs, even for just a few seconds, the ABM will request warning lamp illumination for the entire drive cycle.

2- would need some personal time with your car to diagnose. too many possibilities. perhaps a fuel pressure problem.

3- the inner tie rod ends are serviced as part of the steering rack.
Izzy pics money talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"
